Indirect Sourcing Specialist

Role Summary:The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for running the sourcing events for indirect goods and/or services as requested by the specific function, BU or Site as defined by the system workflows.The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete RFQ/RFP process and to select the most appropriate supplier for the intended scope of work based on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost parameters as appropriate and aligned with the global indirect category strategy.Responsibilities:Execute the sourcing events on behalf of the Function/BU/Site as defined by the system workflows in a timely manner.Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value offering for Flowserve with respect to the scope of work and Function/BU/Site needs; balancing Quality, Delivery, Cost and Service. This includes any specific flowdowns or contractual terms relative to a specific scope.Where applicable, finalize contractual agreements such as Price Lists or Teaming Agreements per the specific scope of supply and ensure they are loaded appropriately within the applicable tools/ERPs.Comply with the sourcing strategy as set forth by the Global Category Management function; including focusing spend on Partner & Preferred suppliers.Create and expedite any new supplier requests / supplier changes as required to support the Function or BU operations through the MDG-Supplier process.Identify any specific supply/supplier risks as it pertains to the managed scope and elevate them through the appropriate process/hierarchy.Operate in full compliance to all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role.Main objectives:Cost ReductionService LevelContract ImplementationSourcing Guide ComplianceCommercial Terms ComplianceRequirements:3+ years of experience in Supply Chain1+ years of sourcing experienceStrong interpersonal relationship managementEvidenced understanding of both commercial and technical areas of supply chainVery strong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsProficiency in Project ManagementKnowledge of supply base in the region for the assigned categoriesUnderstanding of market dynamicsStrong analytical skills which involves collecting, analyzing and interpreting dataCertified Supply Chain ProfessionalGeographically mobile for development opportunitiesAbility to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levelsExpertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of applicable ERPs and associated tools i.e. SAP and sourcing tools like AribaSound understanding on the sourcing needs of the regional / global sites #J-18808-Ljbffr
