Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drip management experience - Ability to float between units if overstaffed - Must work every other weekend - Commitment to working 3 of the 5 holidays Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a PCU/Stepdown unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Previous charge experience is preferred. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 4-5. Candidates must be proficient in using Epic charting system. Responsibilities include managing dysrhythmias and administering blood products. Experience with a diverse patient population is required. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including IV teams and respiratory services. Nurses must be able to manage non-invasive airway devices and perform telemetry monitoring. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities if necessary. Flexibility is required in scheduling and time-off requests. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required.
