Demand Planning Analyst

Archer Jerky

Drive Strategic Demand Planning for a High-Growth Consumer Brand

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3x a week in office)

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000

Marketing Message:

Are you a detail-oriented demand planner who wants your forecasts to truly shape business decisions? We're looking for a Demand Planning Analyst who thrives on turning data into insights and partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to build forecasts that keep our business moving forward.

In this critical role, you'll develop and manage customer forecast plans that support our business goals and help us deliver the right products to the right places at the right time. Unlike purely operational forecasting, this position gives you daily exposure to Sales and Marketing, helping you integrate promotional plans, market trends, and external intelligence into smarter, more strategic demand plans.

If you love working with data, collaborating cross-functionally, and having a real impact on company performance, this could be the perfect next step for you.

What You'll Own & Impact:
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, market trends, customer demand, and business inputs.
• Build demand plans using key forecasting drivers such as store count, distribution, facings, sales velocity, and sell-through rates.
• Validate and continuously improve forecast accuracy through KPI analysis, including forecast accuracy, bias, fill rate, and inventory performance.
• Partner closely with Sales to incorporate promotional plans, customer forecasts, and new product launches into the demand planning process.
• Leverage market intelligence, competitive activity, economic trends, and category insights to strengthen forecasting assumptions.
• Analyze customer, sales, and market data to identify demand trends, risks, and opportunities that support business decision-making.
• Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to reconcile forecast variances and support inventory planning.
• Provide demand planning recommendations for new product launches, product transitions, and phase-out strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels.

What Sets You Apart:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools like Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to translate data into clear, actionable plans
• Preferred: experience with statistical forecasting tools, inventory management, and S&OP processes

Why Join Us?
• Impact: Play a key role in ensuring the business has accurate demand forecasts that drive inventory decisions, customer service, and operational success.
• Growth: Join a fast-growing brand with opportunities to expand your expertise in demand planning, S&OP, and cross-functional supply chain strategy.
• Benefits: Competitive compensation, paid time off, and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Culture: Join a collaborative, data-driven team where your insights directly influence business decisions and help shape the future of our supply chain.
