Job Summary

The Training Supervisor is responsible for training and developing production team members to ensure consistent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and achievement of production output goals. This role bridges day-to-day production execution with quality and efficiency standards, using units/output-per-hour metrics to identify training needs and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Train new and existing production team members on SOPs, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Monitor and track units/output per hour for individuals and shifts against established production goals
• Identify performance gaps and deliver targeted coaching or retraining as needed
• Partner with the Production Manager to update SOPs as processes evolve
• Conduct on-the-floor observation and hands-on demonstration of correct procedures
• Maintain training records and document certification of team members on specific tasks or stations
• Communicate production goal progress and training outcomes to leadership
• Support onboarding of new hires into production workflows
• Reinforce a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on the production floor

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production/manufacturing experience, ideally in a food, nutrition, or CPG environment
• Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading others in a production setting
• Strong understanding of SOP-based work environments
• Comfortable working with production metrics and basic reporting (Excel a plus)
• Clear communicator, patient teacher, and hands-on leader
• Ability to stand/move on a production floor for extended periods

Preferred

• Experience with output tracking systems or production dashboards
• Familiarity with GMP or food safety standards
