Required Application Materials Resume is required Cover Letter is preferred Job Details Job Summary The Behavioral Intervention Case Coordinator is responsible for providing case management of all cases referred to the University’s Behavior Intervention Team (BIT) ensuring information flow, continuity of the case and documentation between key University departments and persons exhibiting concerning behavior. The position plans, coordinates, and assesses the University’s counseling, mental health and disability programs and services. Administers multi-disciplinary mental health services and enables the effective utilization of mental health services by students, while assuring equal access for persons with mental health and other disabilities to all educational and vocational programs, identifying and providing reasonable accommodations to ensure equal educational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Core Responsibilities Conducts majority of direct outreach and follow-up with persons of concern. Tracks, documents and follow-up with persons of concern as they work through individualized recommendations and interventions as determined by BIT, including, but not limited to, providing referrals to campus resources. Maintains BIT records to ensure all correspondence, notes, and actions items are accurately documented. Assists the Behavioral Intervention Manager with coordination of relevant information, continuity of the case and carrying out team recommendations and processes. Triages incoming reports of concerning behavior to the BIT and initiates case management. Maintains a schedule for meeting with students to ensure compliance with BIT recommendations and referrals. Provides outreach, consultation and presentations to student groups, faculty, and staff members. Ensures information sharing procedures comply with FERPA and University policy. Creates BIT agendas as a record of weekly BIT meetings. Assists Behavioral Intervention Manager with coordination of weekly team meetings, and San Antonio BIT Coalition meetings. Attends professional conferences and professional development trainings and in-services. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Three (3) years of related work experience. Additional experience may substitute for education on a one year for one year basis. This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48. Some weekend, after-hours, and remote work may be required. Physical Demands Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable.
