About The Role We’re hiring for a senior, engineering-focused Vehicle Technician role supporting our client’s fleet readiness in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a hands‑on, in‑person contract role for an experienced technician who can perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work across fleet vehicles while helping keep vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for operation. This role is best suited for advanced Auto Techs who are comfortable troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, communication, and high‑voltage systems with minimal supervision. You’ll work closely with technicians, engineers, and operations teams to support repair quality, streamline workflows, mentor junior technicians, and improve overall fleet readiness in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair activities across fleet vehicles with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, BUS communication, and high‑voltage system issues. Use advanced diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer and related software to capture, analyze, and interpret vehicle data and logs. Lead complex repair activities and support technical escalations across the technician team. Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians. Identify process improvement opportunities and provide feedback on repair procedures, tooling, and serviceability enhancements. Partner with engineering and operations teams on root‑cause analysis, issue escalation, and fleet reliability improvements. Support vehicle readiness, repair coordination, lab operations, and general facility support activities. Execute a broad range of repair types independently with minimal supervision. Interface with internal teams to help streamline repair workflows and improve efficiency. Qualifications Minimum Requirements 4+ years of automotive experience. Advanced diagnostic capability and strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. Experience performing complex troubleshooting and repair work with minimal supervision. Ability to support technical escalations and lead advanced repair activities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Reliable, self‑starter, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves work style. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environment. Ability to collaborate with technicians, engineers, and operations teams. Preferred Qualifications Automotive degree or trade school certificate. ASE certifications. Experience using CANalyzer or similar diagnostic/logging tools. Experience troubleshooting BUS communication and high‑voltage circuits. Demonstrated experience mentoring junior technicians. Experience contributing to process improvement, repair instruction feedback, or serviceability enhancements.
