Java React Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java React Developer. The candidate is expected to sit onsite in Brookfield, WI at least 3 days a week.Summary:This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced, adhering to Company standards for security, observability, and performance.Essential Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, Java/Spring Boot APIs, Python microservices, and backend services
• Build and enhance scalable, secure microservices aligned with enterprise architecture and performance standards, leveraging Spring Boot, FastAPI, and modern architectural patterns
• Develop and integrate AI-powered agent workflows using LangGraph and LangChain for intelligent claim processing and decision automation
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality code, participate in design reviews, and continuously improve engineering practices
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation using Docker, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments
• Lead modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures
• Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and knowledge sharing across the team

Skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js 19+, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience developing Python applications using FastAPI and async patterns
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including DDL/DML, performance tuning
• Proven expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot framework, and building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Expertise in identity & security frameworks (IAM, SSO, OAuth2, JWT, Active Directory, TLS/mTLS)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integration of LLM-based workflows into applications
• Familiarity with enterprise security architectures and cross-platform security implementation
• Familiarity with state machine patterns and workflow orchestration for complex business processes
• Proficiency with DevOps / CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher)

• Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, React Router, Tailwind CSS, Leaflet mapping
• Backend API: Java 21, Spring Boot 3.3.4, Spring Data JPA, Spring State Machine, Spring Security
• AI Agents: Python 3.11+, FastAPI, LangGraph, LangChain Core, Pydantic
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Infrastructure: Docker, OpenAPI/Swagger UI

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
