Dental Assistant

Konikoff Family Dentistry – Granby in Norfolk, VA is looking for a motivated, hardworking Dental Assistant who loves variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care. Expanded functions experience is a plus, but what matters most is your drive, positive attitude, and commitment to our patients and team. Clinical Responsibilities Provide expert chairside assistance to our doctors across a wide range of dental procedures Prepare operatories and ensure instruments, materials, and equipment are ready before every appointment Take and process dental radiographs in compliance with Virginia requirements Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following infection control protocols Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout treatment Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed Provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and team members to provide an exceptional patient experience Administrative Support (as needed) Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out Schedule and confirm appointments using practice management software Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly Support supply ordering and additional office tasks as directed What Makes You a Great Fit Current CPR certification preferred Expanded functions experience or certification is a plus Motivated, hardworking, and comfortable multitasking in a busy environment Self-motivated and proactive Calm, patient-focused presence that helps patients feel comfortable Strong communication skills with patients of all ages and backgrounds Experience with dental practice management software and digital radiography preferred Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Positive, collaborative team player who contributes to a supportive office culture Konikoff Family Dentistry – Granby is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees and patients. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cordental Group
