Sr. Software Engineer

Application DeveloperAs an Application Developer for the Automation team, you will have the following responsibilities:Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementationProvide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application developmentUpdate and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for Service Now instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completesDesign, develop, test, and deploy various Service Now product needs in banking environment within SDLCOwn and drive enhancements to improve reliability and performance of existing solutionsAnalysing risks, gaps in the existing environment/applications and resolve themDrive enhancing scalability, performance, and monitoring strategies for the existing platformCollaborating with clients in requirement gathering and providing multiple logical solutionsChallenge existing solutions, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stabilityBuild/improve run books for quality documentation and auditing purposeEffectively manage projects while maintaining a high level of attention to detail adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a teamSkill / Experience:5+ years of ServiceNow platform experience preferably in development and implementationHands on experience with incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management, service catalog, service level management (SLM), workflows and email notificationsGood understanding of core platform features, flow designer, ACLs, server side APIs and client side APIs in ServiceNowGood knowledge on reports, dashboards, import sets, transformations, update sets and system clone, upgrades in ServiceNowHands on experience on development of custom scoped applicationsGood knowledge on HRSD, CSM and ATFsJava, J2EE, Servlet, JSP, XML, AJAX, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript and any web-based development toolsGood understanding on ITOM modules Event Management, Integrations, OrchestrationHands on experience on working with Rest API'sA fair understanding of MID Server Configuration, CMDB, discovery and asset managementGood knowledge and experience on debugging, troubleshooting mechanisms in ServiceNowDemonstrated success at delivery of assignments with tight deadline.Ability to work independently, but strong team player with experience of working as part of a global team.Self-starter mind set with the ability to share ideas, identify and drive opportunities.Strong problem analysis skills to include the use of mathematical concepts to validate resultsStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, disseminate, and present significant amounts of information with an attention to detailClear and concise communication with superior written and verbal communication skills.Manage and prioritize work effectively with minimal supervisionMust have good verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of the problem to senior stakeholders.Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues.Obtain and analyze/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in Service Now.Answer "how to" technical and application configuration questions.Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.Create and maintain system design and operations documentationQualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related fieldFinancial Service domain knowledge whilst, not a pre-requisite is desirable
