Line Cook

Fausto, a neighborhood restaurant and wine destination on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn is seeking a full time Line Cook. Its market-driven menu showcases elevated but approachable food with a focus on locality and seasonality. The ideal candidate must be passionate, goal-oriented and value-driven. They will work with the kitchen team to ensure that this elevated approach to food and hospitality is brought to life. This position is responsible for preparing vegetables, fish and meat out of the wood burning oven, as well as filling in on other stations when needed. Please send resume and references. Ideal Candidate: Minimum 2 Years Experience (Preferably Casual/Fine Dining) Ability to Multitask in High Pressure Situations A positive attitude towards your work and your team Responsibilities and duties: Performing opening and closing duties as our standards require: setting up and closing down station Prepping items for the station for daily service and also for the weekly prep schedule Have the ability to lift 50 pounds Have the ability to stand for over 6 hours Carrying out other job-related tasks as outlined by the management Provide the highest level quality to all menu items Opportunity to pick up extra shifts when needed, including brunch service on Sundays We are an equal opportunity employer and look forward to you joining the team!
