Opportunity Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician Job Details Perform all aspects of patient exam activities of nuclear medicine at a technical level producing high quality images Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment Perform diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes Properly identify, prepare and/or administer medications/substances within technologist scope of practice Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety procedures Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats Maintain adequate supply of all consumables for quality testing Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks May assist other areas of radiology as assigned No on-call responsibilities No weekend requirements Must be graduate of AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB Required certifications: BLS, ARRT Skills checklist completed within one year of application Facility This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive nuclear medicine department that focuses on providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
