Med Tech: Part Time 2:30pm-11pm Department: Assisted Living Employment Type: Part Time Location: Chelsea, MI Compensation: $19.01 - $22.81 / hour Description Schedule: Part time | 16 hours/week | 2:30pm-11:00pm | Weekend & Holiday Rotation, Required | No Scheduling Mandation Shift Premiums : 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00 Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Glazier Commons-Assisted Living | Chelsea, MI What You’ll Do in This Role: As a Medication Technician, you’ll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. Key Responsibilities Administer Medications & Treatments – Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans. Provide Hands-On Care – Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health. Promote Mobility – Assist with turning, positioning, and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely. Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output. Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep residents’ rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials. Respond to Resident Needs – Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support. Monitor Resident Conditions – Report any changes to the leadership team immediately. Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus. Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently. Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus. Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.
