Outpatient Pediatric SLP - Per Diem

Position Overview Per Diem SLP – Pediatrics – Spaulding Salem Outpatient Center for Children (Afternoon coverage needed) Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders. Patient care required: Yes Essential Functions Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required. No substitution of experience for a degree. Speech‑language Pathologist license (State License) – Generic (HR Only required). Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License (State License) – Generic (HR Only preferred). Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) – American Speech Language Hearing Association (preferred). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – preferred. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) – American Speech Language Hearing Association (preferred). 1+ year experience required; outpatient experience preferred. Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech/language. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures independently. Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice. Understanding of the implications of new information for problem‑solving and decision‑making. Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
