job summary:
We are seeking an SAP Record-to-Report (RTR) / Financial Accounting ASC-606 Analyst to lead revenue recognition design and execution for a major SAP S/4HANA implementation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex finance operations and technical SAP solutions, taking full ownership of ASC-606 compliance, revenue planning integration, and end-to-end financial data migration. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical developers to translate legacy financial structures into a precise future-state architecture, ensuring accurate data mapping, rigorous testing, and seamless cutover to go-live.

responsibilities:

ASC-606 & Revenue Recognition Subject Matter Expert: Lead functional delivery around ASC-606 compliance, overseeing order bookings, performance obligations (POBs), audit defense support, and revenue planning integration across core business processes.

SAP RTR Delivery: Support the broader Record-to-Report workstream by authoring detailed functional specifications (FWRICE objects), defining data mapping rules, and driving future-state design within SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Data Migration & Legacy Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on legacy financial data, map source data to the SAP target model, and oversee conversion strategies.

Reconciliation & Quality Assurance: Lead end-to-end financial data validation, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and data reconciliation to guarantee absolute data integrity.

Cutover & Stakeholder Alignment: Drive critical cutover activities and collaborate daily across cross-functional business, data, functional, and technical teams to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience (10-15 years strongly preferred).

Technical Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance, specifically within the RTR domain and revenue management modules.

Domain Knowledge: Deep functional mastery of ASC-606 revenue recognition principles and their integration with broader financial planning and order-to-cash processes.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Certifications: None required; proven project delivery and real-world expertise are prioritized.
