Modern Hyundai of Concord is looking for an Automotive Stock Clerk to join our talented Parts team! As an Automotive Stock Clerk, you’ll play an important role in keeping our Parts Department running smoothly. From receiving and organizing inventory to pulling parts for technicians and making deliveries, you’ll help ensure our team has the right parts in the right place at the right time. What You’ll Do Check in incoming stock orders and accurately place parts in the appropriate bin locations. Pull and prepare technician orders and dispatch parts to the shop. Receive, reconcile, and properly locate shipments from outside vendors. Pick up parts from local vendors using a company vehicle. Assist with inventory management, including current and newly received parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Parts Department. Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. Verify that invoices match purchase orders for each pickup. Confirm payments received against invoices for each delivery. Maintain an accurate daily log of deliveries and pickups and obtain recipient signatures as required. Unload the delivery vehicle each evening and return all paperwork and undelivered parts. Support the Parts Department with additional duties as needed. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Preferred qualifications: 1+ year of automotive parts experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to effectively multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle as required. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 70 pounds. Why Modern? Additional Job Requirements Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One or more years of automotive parts experience is preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations as applicable. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address practical problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
