The Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DEE&T) Growth, Commerce and Identity Client Engineering organization delivers experiences across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ built on a common platform and shared technology. You will serve as a high level technical resource and “go-to” person, solving sophisticated technical challenges and finding opportunities to improve systems, products, and services! Responsibilities Develop software & infrastructure that powers the Roku commerce and identity experience Contribute to code reviews, knowledge‑sharing, and technical investigations. Collaborate with Senior and Lead Engineers to build features on Disney+, Hulu and Star+ Partner with UX to transform mock‑ups into engaging, accessible web experiences Basic Qualifications: 3+ years professional experience developing large, well‑tested Roku applications Excellent front‑end debugging skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in client‑side scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python; experience with BrightScript and SceneGraph is a plus. Experience with developing applications in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) Experience working with Agile methodologies Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $120,300 to $161,300 per year and in San Francisco, CA is $128,700 to $172,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
