Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description

This working Production Supervisor role combines hands-on production work with frontline leadership responsibilities. You will work alongside the team daily on the manufacturing floor, building credibility, developing operational knowledge, and driving safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, solid manufacturing experience, prior leadership or lead experience, and a solution-driven mindset, and feels comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the production floor daily as a hands-on supervisor, actively participating in manufacturing activities while leading by example.
  • Build credibility with production staff by demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude, process knowledge, and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure output meets quality standards, production goals, and customer timelines.
  • Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and adjust priorities in response to changing demands and deadlines.
  • Support and guide team members in understanding and following manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Monitor equipment and machinery during operations, identify issues, and assist with basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Promote a solution-driven culture by identifying production challenges and collaborating with the team to develop practical improvements.
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members to enhance their skills, performance, and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and leadership to report progress, issues, and resource needs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
  • Proven manufacturing experience in a production environment.
  • Leadership or prior lead experience overseeing or guiding production teams.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage constantly shifting demands.
  • Solution-driven mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work full-time on a Monday through Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (1st shift).
  • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled, hot environment around machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supervising or leading teams in a production or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with production metrics, efficiency improvement, and workflow optimization.
  • Experience working in industries such as aerospace, agriculture, or general manufacturing.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and production requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This role is based on the production floor in a non-climate-controlled facility, where you will work around active machinery and must be comfortable in a hot environment, especially during warmer seasons. The position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule on 1st shift, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing setting that requires adherence to safety protocols and appropriate industrial work attire suitable for a production and machinery-focused environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Lodi, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
