Licensed Vehicle Inspector & Reconditioning Tech

We’re looking for a licensed Motor Vehicle State Inspector with a minimum of one year of professional automotive repair experience to join Carvana, the fastest‑growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history. Responsibilities Perform light maintenance and repairs, including changing brakes and tires, routine inspections, and maintenance on brake pads, calipers, rotors, tire installations and wheel alignments. Carry out initial vehicle inspections to identify any imperfections or repairs needed during reconditioning. Other Technician Roles Entry‑Level Auto Technician (min 6 months professional experience): light maintenance, fluid checks, and initial inspections. Brake and Tire Technician (min 1 year professional experience): light maintenance or repairs including changing brakes and tires. Mid‑Level (Mechanical Repair/Build/General) Technician (min 3 years professional experience): light to medium automotive repairs and minimal diagnostics. Experienced Technician (min 5 years professional experience): extensive repairs, heavy engine work, advanced diagnostics on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. At least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license; subject to Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment; may be exposed to excessive weather conditions. Use of safety equipment including face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments. Must read, write, speak and understand English.
