Registered Respiratory Therapist

Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, and emphysema Work with physicians, nurses, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Conduct pulmonary function screenings and comprehensive pulmonary function tests using spirometry equipment Provide patient instructions for pulmonary function tests and educate patients on inhalers, nebulizers, and medications such as albuterol Administer albuterol after pulmonary function examinations Conduct pre- and post-pulmonary function testing and other diagnostic evaluations Monitor patient progress, treatment response, equipment functionality, and patient comfort Communicate with pulmonologists and team members as necessary Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow respiratory therapy safety protocols Requirements Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and/or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred AARC Office Spirometry Certificate accepted Must be available on occasional weekdays; no weekends Experience performing spirometry testing Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Knowledge of respiratory equipment and medications Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in assessing and treating patients with respiratory conditions, conducting pulmonary function tests, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
