Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a post-acute care setting. The LPN plays a key role in ensuring patients receive necessary medical care and support during their recovery period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient health, including vital signs, and report changes to the RN or healthcare provider.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and within the scope of practice.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other basic medical procedures.
• Help patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Provide patient education on medication use, wound care, and rehabilitation exercises.
• Record and update patient medical information accurately in patient records.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care and support recovery.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or post-acute care setting preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of RNs and in a team environment.
