Responsibilities Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality care.

Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and enjoyable surroundings for patients, visitors and employees. The Housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infections and odors. The Housekeeper must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials or body fluids in accordance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. The Director of Plant Operations supervises housekeeping.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department. Must be able to read, write and follow material instructions for use.

Qualifications Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation. High school education or GED preferred. Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferred. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department. Must be able to read, write and follow material instructions for use. The Housekeeper is required to lift, carry, walk, stand, stoop, push, pull and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours. Must be able to move continuously during working hours and able to lift and carry 20 – 25 pounds.
