The Site Crew works to set up and tear down the event infrastructure of the Portland Saturday Market as well as cleaning and preparing the site for the weekend event. The Site Crew also has maintenance responsibilities during the event such as wiping down tables, emptying the garbage, stocking supplies and performing on the spot problem solving. The Portland Saturday Market Site Crew is the backbone of the event, and all crew members are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner with both the public and other members of the Market. All members of the Site Crew report to the Site Operations Manager. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Site Cleaning

• Seasonal leaf blowing.
• Pressure washing as needed.
• Making sure that the site is free of garbage and debris.
• Sweeping and spot cleaning as needed.

Infrastructure Set-Up & Breakdown

• (2) 20x20 event tents, including side walls and gutters when needed.
• Set up and take down of covered stage, including small PA with mics, monitors and speakers.
• Setting out food court seating.
• Setting out and taking down perimeter fencing for the event.

Electrical Duties

• Setting out event distribution boxes.
• Running temporary electrical cables (plug and play) to power nearly 200 booths.
• Hanging event tent lighting.
• Troubleshooting as needed.

Market Open Hours Responsibilities

• Wiping down food court furniture.
• Emptying garbage as needed.
• Managing recycling.
• Answering info booth service calls.

*Position would require a 5-hour shift on Friday (3PM-8PM) and 5-hour shift on Saturday (3PM-8PM); total of 10-hours/week.
