Production Technician

Job Summary:

Production Technician is responsible for preparing components for manufacturing or repair while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position performs assembly, inspection, testing, cleaning, and documentation activities in support of manufacturing operations. The Production Technician I is expected to follow established work instructions, maintain production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read, follow, and meet established quality standards, cycle times, and throughput requirements.
• Position and align components in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, and other assembly tools.
• Perform assembly operations including crimping, fastening, bolting, press fitting, cementing, soldering, and similar processes using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
• Clean components utilizing approved cleaning solutions, air hoses, power tools, and cleaning materials.
• Conduct in-process inspections and go/no-go testing using magnification devices, measuring instruments, gauges, and electronic testing equipment to verify compliance with specifications.
• Identify and report quality concerns or nonconforming materials.
• Assist with quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete required production, maintenance, service, and evaluation documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematic drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic inspection equipment.
• Ability to use measurement gauges, repair tools, and electronic testing equipment accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precision assembly work.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet production schedules.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Ability to successfully pass a respirator fit test, when required. Facial hair is not permitted in designated respirator-required work areas.
• Position designated as Safety Sensitive.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine assembly tasks.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing bench work.
• Ability to use hand-held tools and equipment throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials as required.
• Bench work, long hours sitting with use of handheld equipment • No travel
