Certified Medical Assistant

Overview We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support both clinical and administrative tasks in our orthopedic clinic. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments under the supervision of physicians and nurses. The role is critical in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Shift and Hours Shift: Days (no weekends). Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Employment Type: Full Time. Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR). Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed. Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care. Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently. Handle prior authorization and check benefit information prior to any procedure. Provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting. Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current. Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization. Minimum one year work experience in a public contact job. Additional Qualifications One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting (preferred).
