Formulation Scientist: Solid-Dose Scale-Up & Innovation

About the Company : We are a growing, innovation-driven organization within the vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) industry, focused on delivering high-quality, science-backed wellness products to consumers nationwide. With multiple sites across the U.S., the company partners with leading brands to bring differentiated health and nutrition solutions to market. About the Role : The Formulator is responsible for technical product and process development for solid dosage forms including capsules, tablets, and powders. This role utilizes industry best practices to support innovation and commercial success, while collaborating cross-functionally with teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations. Responsibilities : Develop prototype formulations and support scale-up activities for stability and commercialization Prepare and manage samples for stability testing and lab evaluation Ensure raw materials and finished products meet established physical and chemical specifications Operate and maintain laboratory and processing equipment including blenders, granulators, mills, coaters, and tablet presses Conduct raw material evaluations, document data, and ensure accuracy and completeness Support all phases of product development, including lab batches and pilot-scale production Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through commercialization Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field with 5+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with relevant experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related CPG product development Hands-on experience with solid dose formulation, scale-up, and commercialization Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, processing equipment, and formulation principles Familiarity with FDA regulations, cGMP, and SOPs Ability to evaluate raw material characteristics and finished product performance Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Required Skills : Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, processing equipment, and formulation principles Familiarity with FDA regulations, cGMP, and SOPs Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment Preferred Skills : Hands-on experience with solid dose formulation, scale-up, and commercialization Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset #J-18808-Ljbffr Mackie Myers
