Entry-Level Communications Assistant – Events & Direct Marketing

Location: McLean, Virginia
Work Setting: In person

Candidates must be able to commute to our McLean, Virginia office and work on site.

About the Role

We are seeking an outgoing and motivated Entry-Level Communications Assistant to support our direct marketing campaigns at promotional events and pop-up locations.

This role focuses on face-to-face communication, customer engagement, and sales support. You will introduce customers to our clients’ products and services, explain current promotions, answer questions, and assist interested customers with enrollment or purchases.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with customers in person
• Interest in direct marketing, promotional events, and customer engagement
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with a team and adapt to busy event environments
• Proactive approach to daily responsibilities and customer interactions
• A degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage customers through face-to-face conversations at events and promotional locations
• Clearly communicate product features, service options, pricing, and promotions
• Answer customer questions and assist interested customers with purchases or enrollment
• Support event setup, organize promotional materials, and maintain a professional presentation
• Collaborate with team members to carry out daily campaign activities
• Gather customer feedback and share insights with the team

• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to strengthen communication and product knowledge
