Cedar Eye Center Medical Group is looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Optical Department Clerk to join our team in Placerville, CA. Responsibilities:

• Verify and submit optical insurance benefits and assist with billing and authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records and update optical orders in the practice management system
• Manage optical inventory, including stocking, organizing, and merchandising frames
• Coordinate with optical labs and vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment
• In charge of any data entry for optical department
• Bills all vision plans for patients 
• Contact patients when orders are ready for pick up 

Requirements:

• Prior experience in an optical, medical, or retail environment preferred
• Familiarity with vision insurance plans (VSP, MES, EyeMed) is a plus but not required 
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry; experience with optical software a bonus
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Team-oriented, reliable, and professional demeanor

Pay is based on experience
