About the Position:

 

The Outpatient Clinical Lead is a licensed behavioral health clinician who provides clinical leadership, supervision, mentorship, and support to the Outpatient Services clinical team. Serving as a clinical resource, the Outpatient Clinical Lead provides consultation and guidance related to clinical practice, documentation, treatment planning, and the delivery of high-quality care for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Outpatient Clinical Lead works closely with the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor and OPS Practice Managers to support clinician development, onboarding, and training. This role maintains a small caseload of OPS clients while providing clinical coverage and support as needed. Responsibilities also include facilitating EHR training, conducting clinical tracers and audits, and supporting quality and compliance initiatives. Clinical care focuses on creating an individualized recovery experience that incorporates the body, mind, and spirit of each client.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm 

Some evenings may be required to accommodate client and/or program needs

Your Role:

 

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

• Provide clinical supervision to staff working toward independent licensure. 
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to licensed clinicians as assigned. 
• Support the clinical development, training, and professional growth of the outpatient clinical team. 
• Provide clinical guidance and consultation regarding client care, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical risk. 
• Support clinical interns and their development throughout their placement. 
• Maintain a small clinical caseload and provide clinical coverage as needed. 

Quality & Clinical Operations

• Conduct clinical chart audits, group audits, and other clinical tracers to support quality and regulatory compliance. 
• Support onboarding and clinical training for new OPS clinicians, including EHR training. 
• Collaborate with Practice Managers and the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor on clinical programming, team needs, and quality initiatives. 
• Participate in team meetings and other departmental initiatives as needed.
• Ensure group coverage for all PTO.
• Support the Practice Manager in the facilitation of team meetings as needed.
• Support the Director of OPS in providing staff support at other OPS locations, if needed.
• Support the Practice Manager in collaboration with Business Development building relationships with providers and referents for your team’s location.
• Consistently participate in media opportunities in support of the Marketing Team. 

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. 
• Current, independent New York State clinical license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT, required. 
• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience, preferably within substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health treatment. 
• Prior clinical supervision experience strongly preferred. 
• Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or mentorship to behavioral health clinicians strongly preferred. 
• Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and integrative behavioral health care. 
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and behavioral health quality/compliance standards. 
• Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions required. 
• CASAC or other substance use disorder credential is a plus, but not required.

We are seeking an experienced, independently licensed behavioral health clinician who is passionate about developing other clinicians and supporting high-quality clinical care. The ideal candidate has experience providing clinical supervision and consultation, a strong foundation in substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment, and the ability to balance direct clinical work with team leadership and staff development.

This role is best suited for a practicing clinician who wants to expand their impact through supervision, mentorship, quality improvement, and clinical leadership.

Compensation:

The base rate of pay for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
