Research Assistant

The Research Assistant supports scientific, laboratory, and research program activities through data collection, documentation, sample preparation, quality review, research coordination, and general laboratory support. This position is designed for individuals with backgrounds in biology, chemistry, molecular biology, laboratory science, quality control, health sciences, or related scientific disciplines. The Research Assistant works alongside scientific, technical, and program teams to support research activities while maintaining accurate records and established quality standards. Assist with day-to-day research, laboratory, and project activities under the direction of scientific or program staff Prepare, organize, label, track, and maintain research samples, materials, reagents, and laboratory supplies as applicable Perform routine laboratory procedures, testing, measurements, or sample preparation according to established protocols and standard operating procedures Collect, enter, review, and maintain experimental, laboratory, and research data Review records and results for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established quality requirements Support quality control activities, including documentation review, data verification, equipment logs, and identification of discrepancies Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, research records, databases, spreadsheets, and project documentation Assist with chemistry, biological, or molecular laboratory activities based on assigned projects and individual qualifications Support preparation of solutions, reagents, specimens, materials, and equipment for laboratory or research activities Assist with inventory management, ordering, storage, and tracking of laboratory materials and supplies Follow established laboratory safety, quality, and documentation procedures Assist with equipment preparation, routine maintenance documentation, calibration records, and laboratory organization Compile research information and assist with preparation of reports, summaries, presentations, and project documentation Coordinate research and program activities, including scheduling, documentation, tracking deliverables, and communicating project updates Identify data, documentation, or process discrepancies and escalate findings to appropriate team members Collaborate with researchers, laboratory personnel, quality teams, project staff, and other cross-functional departments Perform additional research, laboratory, quality, or program support activities based on project needs

Requirements Associate or bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Laboratory Science, Psychology, or a related scientific discipline preferred Candidates with relevant laboratory, quality control, research, healthcare, or technical training may also be considered Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory, research, quality control, scientific, healthcare, or program support environment preferred Basic understanding of scientific or laboratory principles Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation Ability to follow research protocols, standard operating procedures, and written instructions Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to collect, organize, review, and interpret scientific or research information Proficiency with standard computer applications and electronic documentation systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Relevant Backgrounds Candidates may have previous experience or education related to: Quality Control or Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant or Laboratory Technician Chemistry Laboratory Technician Molecular Biology Biology or Biotechnology Research Assistant or Research Technician Scientific Program Support Program Specialist or Program Coordinator Laboratory Operations Healthcare or Life Sciences
