Hourly Pay Rate: $71.28

This role acts as a leader in delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes. A sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions is essential. The candidate will engage in activities aligned with the unit and department's strategic goals and demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for their practice while supporting the company's nursing philosophy.

Qualifications

• Education: Required: RN diploma; Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
• Experience: Required: 2+ years of nursing experience
• Certifications: Required: Current RN license in state of practice; Required: BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area
• Skills and Attributes: Strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed; Good judgment and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

• Lead the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process effectively.
• Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies for patients, families, and teams.
• Communicate and delegate tasks within the nursing team and interdisciplinary partners.
• Use data to evaluate outcomes and promote improvements.
• Foster an environment that enhances patient satisfaction, staff morale, and professional growth.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to diverse patient populations.
• Maintain knowledge of current laws, standards, and regulations relevant to the practice area.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including privacy and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties to support department objectives.

Heavy physical work requiring exertion of 50-100 pounds occasionally, with frequent and constant exertion for 25-50 pounds and 10-20 pounds, respectively. Work involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue with potential occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous waste. The work environment includes direct patient care areas, with a significant need for standing, walking, and physical activity consistent with a healthcare setting.
