Overview The Club Elmcrest Country Club, founded in 1947, is a premier member-owned private club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It offers a championship 18-hole course, year-round racquets (tennis/pickleball), aquatics, wellness, and family programming. The club holds a special place in golf's story: it is the "home course" of Zach Johnson, Masters and Open Champion, and annually hosts the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic-bringing national visibility and PGA/LPGA professionals to Cedar Rapids. The Opportunity Elmcrest Country Club seeks an experienced PGA Assistant Golf Professional who will help contribute to the overall Member Experience at Elmcrest Country Club. A member first attitude is required. This position will also play an integral role within the Golf Operation. Competitive Pedigree: Hosts USGA/Iowa PGA qualifiers, state championships, and junior competitions. Modern Teaching Tools: Three-TrackMan simulators position Elmcrest at the forefront of instruction technology. Community Integration: A true multi-sport family club-golf must connect seamlessly with aquatics, fitness, racquets, and social programming. Cedar Rapids Advantage: A vibrant, affordable Midwestern city with growing economic and cultural momentum. Golf Operations Stats 18 holes of golf Annual Rounds: ~19,800 Cart Fleet: 55 Yamaha carts (new 2024) Member Leagues & Tournaments: Men's League (160 members) Ladies' League (50 members) 5 major member tournaments annually Corporate Golf Outings: 6 annually (including the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic) The ideal candidate is an individual that is 2-3 years away from becoming a Head Golf Professional Experience Required Class A PGA Professional - Required 2-3 Years Private Club Experience - Preferred Merchandising Experience - Preferred Private and Group Instruction Experience - Required Essential Responsibilities Assisting the Head Professional with day to day management of the overall golf operation Direct supervision of the outside service team A mentor to the Assistant Golf Professional team Visibility with the membership is a must Playing golf with a variety different member groups as time allows Benefits Health Insurance - Per Company Policy 401k - Per Company Policy Meal(s) - while on duty Practice/Playing priveleges #J-18808-Ljbffr
