Sr. Embedded Firmware EngineerExpress Employment Professionals, Laguna Hills is recruiting for a Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer for a technology company located in Irvine.Service Line: Direct Hire, Full-timePay: $100K – $140K DOESchedule: Monday – FridayResponsibilities:Design, implement, and verify firmware for embedded tracking devices and sensor accessoriesCollaborate with engineering teams, customers, and product managers to define requirements and firmware architectureSupport products from concept and prototype through productionParticipate in engineering design reviews and contribute technical solutionsDevelop and execute software unit testingCreate and maintain firmware documentationTroubleshoot and resolve firmware and hardware issuesCommunicate project progress, technical details, and timelines with internal teams and customersParticipate in brainstorming sessions and product development discussionsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred3–5 years of embedded firmware engineering experienceStrong C/C++ programming skillsExperience with communication protocols including CAN, UART, SPI, and I2CExperience with embedded peripherals and wireless technologies preferredKnowledge of BLE, LTE-M, NB-IoT, GNSS, or related technologies is a plusExperience with MCU programming including STM32 or Nordic preferredFamiliarity with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or Bare-Metal environments preferredStrong troubleshooting and debugging skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedBenefits of working with Express include medical benefits, training, and scholarship opportunities.
