Responsibilities Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH), part of Southwest Healthcare, offers advanced technology and patient-centered care for the local community. Nuclear Med Technician The Nuclear Med Technician is responsible for performing all nuclear medicine scans ordered by a physician that the camera is capable of imaging. The technician also orders isotopes as needed for same‑day and next‑day exams, maintains a clean, organized, and professional scanning area, and upholds radiation safety protocols in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Essential Job Duties Support the Radiation Safety Officer (R.S.O.) in maintaining the Radioactive Materials License (RML) and training hospital staff in radiation safety. Document and manage radiation safety logs and employee badges. Order and complete imaging exams via the departmental computer, including terminal billing supplies. Report equipment problems (e.g., x‑ray, processors, computers) immediately to the Imaging Lead/Supervisor/Director or designee. Perform additional duties as requested, such as stocking rooms, transporting patients, and training new employees. Qualifications Current CPR certification – Required ARRT or NMTCB certification – Required Certification with CNMT (state license) – Required Preferred Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care setting with multi‑modality capability.
