Senior Distribution Operations Specialist

Abbott seeks a Senior Distribution Operations Specialist to lead fulfillment compliance operations, fleet management, and transportation regulatory adherence across multiple locations. The role requires deep expertise in DOT, FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulations, with responsibility for audit readiness, SOP development, and operational excellence in specimen and equipment distribution.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily fleet operations, shipping, and distribution activities across multiple locations
- Serve as subject matter expert for DOT, FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulatory compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain transportation SOPs, work instructions, and training programs
- Conduct compliance audits, driver qualifications, assessments, and quarterly training
- Design and implement ServiceNow workflow enhancements, automation, reporting, and dashboards
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 7+ years in transportation, fleet operations, distribution, logistics, or compliance
- Advanced knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CMV, hazardous materials, and materials of trade regulations
- Experience developing SOPs, training programs, and operational workflows
- Strong fleet maintenance program knowledge and transportation safety expertise
- Advanced ServiceNow reporting, workflow management, and automation experience
- Valid driver's license; ability to operate commercial vehicles as required
Compensation: $61,300–$122,700 base
