Quality Control Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to perform inspections and testing on reverse vending machines and sub-assemblies in a production and repair environment. In this role, you ensure that all equipment meets defined quality standards and specific customer requirements, while accurately documenting results and supporting continuous improvement of processes and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections on reverse vending machines and sub-assemblies produced in the production and repair departments.
- Conduct detailed visual and functional tests in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is configured to meet specific customer requirements prior to delivery.
- Accurately document inspection results, test outcomes, nonconformances, and any corrective actions taken.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues and coordinate effective resolutions with relevant teams.
- Assist in ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed consistently across the area.
- Support the implementation of countermeasures to address quality or process issues.
- Help maintain compliance with all safety requirements and promote a safe work environment.
- Adapt to shifting priorities, new orders, and evolving business needs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share findings, improve workflows, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and work with mechanical components.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to perform detailed visual and functional inspections with a high level of accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results, test outcomes, and corrective actions.
- Capability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in production or repair environments.
- Strong sense of accountability and the ability to follow established procedures and direction.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Completion of college coursework is a plus.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and repair environment focused on reverse vending machines and related sub-assemblies. You work around mechanical and electrical equipment, performing inspections, tests, and troubleshooting tasks at production and repair stations. Standardized work processes and safety procedures guide daily activities, and you use basic computer tools, including Microsoft Office, to document results and communicate findings. The position involves standing, moving between work areas, and lifting components weighing 35 to 50 lbs, requiring comfort with a physically active setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naugatuck, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
