Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

We are recruiting a second Assistant Director of Nursing for a highly regarded nursing home in Co. Wicklow. Working alongside the Director of Nursing and an established ADON, you will share the leadership of the clinical standard across the home, support and develop the nursing team, and be a visible point of contact for residents and their families. Coming into a management team that is already in place means you get proper support and handover while you find your feet, with a clear route towards a DON post in time. What the job involves Sharing leadership of the clinical standard day to day with the DON and fellow ADON Assessment, care planning and review, with plans that reflect the person Keeping the home inspection ready in line with HIQA standards and the regulations Clinical audits, risk management and quality improvement Supervising, mentoring and developing nurses and healthcare assistants Rosters, workload planning and problem solving on the floor Admissions, and supporting new residents and families to settle in What we are looking for Active NMBI registration, General division At least three years post registration experience, with time in older persons care Experience at CNM1 or CNM2 level QQI Level 6 in management, or equivalent (those close to completion considered) Good working knowledge of HIQA standards A calm, approachable leader who is comfortable holding a standard What is on offer Salary depending on experience An experienced management team around you from day one Educational Support Career Progression Meals provided Onsite in Co.
