PER-DIEM PHARMACIST — MAIL ORDER COMPOUNDING PHARMACY

Fill Pill Pharmacy - South Florida
Per diem / Part time – approximately 5-10 hours per week
Compensation: $ 55-65 per hour

Fill Pill Pharmacy is a community pharmacy start-up specializing in personalized non-sterile compounded medications and direct-to-patient telehealth fulfillment. We partner with healthcare providers and telehealth organizations to deliver accurate, compliant, and convenient care.

We are seeking a dependable Florida-licensed pharmacist to support prescription verification, compounded medication review, patient counseling, dispensing, and pharmacy operations on a per-diem basis.

Responsibilities

·       Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, accuracy, completeness, interactions, contraindications, allergies, and appropriate dosing.

·       Verify patient-specific compounded and commercially available prescriptions before dispensing.

·       Review master formulation records and compounding records for accuracy and completeness.

·       Confirm calculations, ingredient selection, beyond-use dates, labeling, packaging, and storage requirements.

·       Provide patient counseling by telephone or other approved communication channels.

·       Communicate with prescribers to resolve clinical questions or prescription discrepancies.

·       Support prescriptions received through e-prescribing, secure portals, fax, and telehealth integrations.

·       Oversee technicians performing data entry, compounding, packaging, and fulfillment activities.

·       Ensure compliance with Florida pharmacy laws, USP <795> , applicable USP <800> requirements, company policies, and quality standards.

·       Document interventions, clarifications, adverse events, complaints, and medication errors appropriately.

·       Assist with inventory controls, controlled documentation, recalls, quality assurance, and inspection readiness.

·       Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA-compliant pharmacy practices.

·       Serve as pharmacist on duty when scheduled.

Required Qualifications

·       Active, unrestricted Florida pharmacist license.

·       Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent accredited pharmacy degree.

·       Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

·       Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and manage workflow independently.

·       Clear written and verbal communication skills.

·       Comfortable working with electronic prescription systems and cloud-based pharmacy software.

·       Ability to work on site at our South Florida pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience in a 503A compounding pharmacy.

·       Familiarity with USP <795> and USP <800> .

·       Experience with non-sterile dosage forms such as creams, ointments, gels, troches, capsules, and suppositories.

·       Experience with telehealth, mail-order, specialty, or high-volume fulfillment.

·       Familiarity with Pharmetika ION, Electric Lab, or comparable pharmacy systems.

·       Experience in hormone therapy, dermatology, pain management, sexual health, or personalized medicine.

Schedule

This is a per-diem position with scheduling based on operational coverage needs. Availability for specific weekdays, evenings, or weekends for pharmacist coverage needs is preferred.

Physical Requirements

·       Ability to remain standing or seated for extended periods.

·       Ability to use pharmacy and computer equipment safely.

·       Ability to lift and move packages or supplies weighing up to approximately 25–40 pounds.

·       Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when entering compounding areas.
