Description

American Traveler is hiring a CA-licensed RN for an Ambulatory Care position requiring BLS certification and Epic EMR experience.

Details

  • Ambulatory Care setting providing outpatient services
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Performs allergy testing and allergy shot administration
  • Conducts patient assessments including vital signs, height/weight, and health history
  • Administers medications including immunizations, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections
  • Handles office duties including chart preparation, scheduling, and telephone triage
  • Manages pharmacy refill requests and follow-up calls
  • Performs specimen collection and labeling, including TB skin testing
  • Responds to cardiac arrest/CPR and altered level of consciousness situations using AED
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care setting experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of specialty-specific experience within the past 2 years for specialized units
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in cardiovascular, neurological, pulmonary, and medication administration competencies
  • Experience with oxygen administration and emergency medications
  • Allergy testing and allergy shot experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provides patient teaching and education on medications and health conditions
  • Follows universal precautions in all patient care activities
  • Conducts telephone triage and follow-up calls with patients
  • Prepares charts and coordinates scheduling for patient appointments
  • Handles pharmacy communications and medication refill requests
  • RTO must be disclosed and finalized prior to interview, with no changes accepted afterward
  • Compliance documentation and required modules must be completed prior to start date
