Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts. Support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents, provide clear directions to occupants and visitors, and complete required reports and logs in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements: Possess 2 or more years of security‑related experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
