Registered Nurse (RN) Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in South Dakota. The Sioux Falls Village is the state’s largest long-term care facility, offering general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and a memory care unit. Compensation Salary: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Evening shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm; evenings and weekends. Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized, evidence-based care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in all phases of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, educate residents, and implement other nursing interventions. Serve as charge nurse when required, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope, competence, and care needs. Assist and support delegation to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and address concerns. Operate within scope and standards of nursing practice, as outlined by the state Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association. Qualifications Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred CCNE, ACEN, NLNCNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Unencumbered RN license from the state board of nursing; multistate licensure acceptable under the Nurse Licensure Compact. Maintain department‑specific competencies and certifications.
