The Regional EHS Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; establishes consistent EHS standards and expectations; and partners with operations and leadership to strengthen safety culture, reduce risk, and drive sustainable EHS performance across both manufacturing operations and construction environments.

Regional EHS Leadership & Governance
- Lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Establish regional EHS standards, expectations, and best practices to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across sites.
- Serve as a regional subject matter expert and advisor to operations, leadership, and support functions on EHS matters.‑matter expert and advisor to operations, leadership, and support functions on EHS matters.
- Drive continuous improvement through risk identification, trend analysis, and corrective action effectiveness.
Manufacturing EHS Support
- Provide technical EHS guidance and support to manufacturing operations, focusing on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
- Conduct and support EHS audits, inspections, and gap assessments related to safety programs, environmental compliance, waste management, and permitting requirements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, and state environmental and safety regulations.
- Partner with site leadership to strengthen safety culture, accountability, and ownership at all organizational levels.
Construction Safety Oversight & Execution
- Provide direct EHS leadership and support for construction activities and client construction projects, including review and development of project specific Health and Safety Plans.‑specific Health and Safety Plans.
- Oversee construction safety performance by working with project managers, contractors, and site leadership to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct construction site safety reviews, inspections, and risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for construction related safety and environmental matters within the region.‑related safety and environmental matters within the region.
Incident Management & Risk Reduction
- Support and coach supervisors and managers in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and environmental events, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness of incident investigations and follow‑up actions across manufacturing and construction activities.
- Analyze incident and workers’ compensation trends to identify systemic risks and recommend preventative measures.
Training, Coaching & Culture
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to meet regulatory requirements and internal standards for manufacturing and construction environments.
- Coach and train managers and supervisors on effective execution of EHS programs, safe work practices, and leadership behaviors that promote a strong safety culture.
- Act as a visible EHS leader in the field, reinforcing expectations and supporting leaders in owning safety performance.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external contractors.
- Support contractor safety prequalification, onboarding, and ongoing performance management for construction activities.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience, including responsibility for multiple sites or regional operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated EHS experience in manufacturing environments.
- Direct experience supporting or leading construction safety activities, including development and oversight of project‑specific safety plans.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
- Experience partnering with operations leaders and supervisors to implement EHS programs and improve safety performance
Preferred
- Professional EHS certification (CSP, CHMM, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting contractor safety management and construction oversight.
- Experience managing or analyzing workers’ compensation trends.
Compensation
- $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
