Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department, functioning independently under the guidance of the Director. Delivers compassionate, efficient treatment while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per protocol.
• Monitor and document patient status accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.
• Respond to emergencies promptly, demonstrating critical thinking and emotional stability.

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN license required and must be uploaded with profile.
• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
• IV certification preferred; Meditech Expanse experience highly desired.
• Must have own reliable vehicle and include perm address in profile.
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment.
