Raytheon is looking for an experienced Factory Quality Engineer to join the Effectors Operations Quality team in Tucson, AZ, supporting a face paced, multi value stream factory. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of driving quality requirements, manufacturing objectives, continuous improvement, and achieving results in a matrixed environment. You will support a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success. The position is onsite in Tucson, AZ and requires. As this position is 2nd shift, an 8% shift differential will be provided with a 12 Noon start time. We work a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). What You Will Do Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA Regular data analysis; development and usage of actional metrics. Generation and publication of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics. Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB) Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs Development and release of First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 Regularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and internal stakeholders to manage issues Conduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions Qualifications You Must Have Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with two years of relevant experience Relevant experience is work in Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and/or manufacturing process experience in one of the following areas (assembly, inspection, and/or test) Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearance prior to the start date. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
