Marketing Events Intern - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Full-Time Intern)

The Marketing Events Intern will support BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s event marketing and branded merchandise efforts. The primary focus of this role will be supporting BYU-Pathway’s sponsorship at RootsTech in early 2027, including event planning, logistics, vendor coordination, volunteer support, and onsite execution.

This position will also provide event support and consultation for local events around the world, CES events, and local Utah events. In addition, the intern will help support area managers with branded merchandise inventory, vendor coordination, fulfillment, and ongoing tracking in partnership with the Marketing Manager. Occasional student story support may include helping identify or coordinate student panelists for remote or in-person events.

This full-time position typically works (Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

• RootsTech Sponsorship Support
  • Support planning and execution for BYU-Pathway’s RootsTech sponsorship in early 2027.
  • Coordinate event logistics, physical setup, materials, schedules, volunteers, and onsite needs.
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, volunteers, and event partners.
  • Help track deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up tasks related to the sponsorship.

• Global and Local Event Support
  • Provide planning and logistical support for events in local areas around the world.
  • Consult with area managers and internal partners regarding event needs, opportunities, materials, and execution.
  • Support CES events and local Utah events as assigned.
  • Research potential event opportunities and help evaluate their fit with BYU-Pathway’s marketing goals.
  • Assist with event setup, volunteer coordination, materials, schedules, and post-event follow-up.

• Branded Merchandise Support
  • Help maintain accurate inventory updates and tracking for branded merchandise.
  • Support area managers with merchandise requests, fulfillment, shipment coordination, and inventory questions.
  • Coordinate with local vendors in partnership with the Marketing Manager, including gathering information, tracking orders, and following up on production or delivery.
  • Work in the office 2–3 days each week to manage branded merchandise needs, including organizing inventory, preparing shipments, updating records, and coordinating orders.
  • Help maintain consistent processes and documentation for branded merchandise across areas.

• Limited Student Panelist Support
  • Help identify and coordinate student panelists for remote or in-person events when needed.
  • Communicate with students and internal partners to support scheduling and event preparation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a CES school and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, Business, or a related field, or in the semester immediately following enrollment; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• Experience supporting events, coordinating projects, managing inventory, or working with vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Comfortable working with internal teams, area managers, vendors, volunteers, and event partners.
• Willingness to work onsite at events and adjust schedules when event support requires it.
