Key requirements and skills:

• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience in a K–12 school environment, with a solid understanding of IEP processes
• Ability to assess and document student performance, design intervention strategies, and work with diverse student populations
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for supporting functional, academic, and behavioral skill development in school-aged children
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations in accordance with school procedures
• Create and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy plans
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ participation and success in school activities
• Maintain clear reporting and documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
• Help integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines and provide staff training as needed
