Information On The Division Located in Springfield, the 70+ employee facility (100,000+ sq. ft.) is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for the manufacturing of medium to large complex landing gear and titanium components. As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, and important military programs such as F-18, F-35, C-17 and C-130. Main Responsibilities Manage and track inputs and outputs of Non-Conforming Reports (NCRs) to ensure parts are returned to production expeditiously. i.e., Initiate NCR, approval, customer submittals, RCCA’s and closure. Lead, facilitate, and conduct non-conformance investigations (RCCA). Manage the movement of parts through Material Review Board (MRB) quarantine. NCR data analysis to track trends and issue CAPAs for repeat findings, assign responsibilities, and follow-up for completion. Act as MRB Quality representative to review and approve manufacturing plans, technical documentation, and NCR rework plans. Support in-house Quality Management System (QMS) and Special Process audit schedule as needed. Monitor AS9100 compliance and participate in audits. Document and participate in additional audits, such as EH&S, OSHA, etc. as needed. Develop and provide quality training to operators, inspectors, or other needs as identified. Perform other duties as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education/training and experience Minimum 3 years’ experience as an engineer in a manufacturing plant Experience in Aerospace, nuclear, medical, or other regulated industry preferred Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to work constructively within teams Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
