Job Title: Tool Maker

Location: Mason, OH on-site (1st Shift)

Compensation: $24.00-$34.00/hr + benefits package - OT

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing aerospace manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for designing, building, modifying, and repairing tooling, fixtures, machine components, and production equipment while maintaining tight quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and modify tooling, fixtures, and machine components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and other toolroom equipment
• Perform precision measurements and inspections
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
• Support AS9100 quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker or Toolmaker with hands-on Tool Making and CNC Machining skills and a strong background in precision tool manufacture and repair.
• Strong machining and toolroom experience
• Blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
• Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and shop math
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
• Trade school or apprenticeship training preferred
• ITAR-compliant U.S. Person
• Skill in jig and fixture design, die setting, tool sharpening, fixture building, and inspection/quality control processes with a strong understanding of tolerancing.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD for tooling layout and tooling-related documentation.
• Experience with AS9100 or other aerospace/ISO quality systems and working in a tool room environment.
• Trade school certificate, technical diploma, or equivalent apprenticeship in tool making, machining, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
