Comprehensive Benefits Offering 401(K) matching Generous PTO Collaborative environment which fosters career advancement Job Details Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting function including but not limited to general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales and use tax. Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and analyses, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks, including financial transactions and reporting. Lead month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures. Manage tax provision and tax compliance process, including sales and use tax. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts. Use Sage 300 to automate and enhance financial operations and reporting. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. Proficiency in Sage 300 and other accounting software. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations. Expertise in sales and use tax, ledger, and fixed asset accounting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels within the company. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
