Pay Rate: $27.07–$47.36/hour – Based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking an experienced AV Events Manager to support our client's audiovisual operations and live event production in Newark, NJ.

This position focuses on event planning, program coordination, show calling, vendor management, and technical oversight for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, strong technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, and the ability to coordinate production teams, manage event logistics, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

This is primarily an AV event management and coordination role, rather than a hands-on engineering position.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage live audiovisual events from pre-production through completion.
• Create run-of-show documents, production schedules, and event plans.
• Serve as the show caller, coordinating real-time production execution.
• Manage customer relationships, vendors, contractors, equipment rentals, and stage crews.
• Coordinate AV technicians and internal teams to ensure successful event delivery.
• Support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including live streaming.
• Route technical requests and assignments to appropriate AV teams.
• Monitor live events and coordinate troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Perform post-production activities, including video editing, cataloging, and archiving.
• Maintain working knowledge of AV systems, streaming platforms, meeting technologies, and equipment infrastructure.
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and event production quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent degree.
• Technical knowledge of audiovisual (AV) systems.
• Working knowledge of streaming platforms, live event systems, and meeting technologies.
• Understanding of AV cable infrastructure, equipment, and rack systems.
• Ability to coordinate technical teams and troubleshoot escalated issues.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in live event show calling and real-time production coordination.
• Ability to plan and coordinate in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships, equipment rentals, and stage crews.
• Strong communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Newark, NJ, five days per week, starting the first week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting corporate audiovisual events, conferences, or executive presentations.
• Experience with AV event program management and production scheduling.
• Familiarity with video editing, post-production, and digital content archiving.
• Experience implementing operational improvements and event production best practices.
