THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Read and interpret blueprints to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping. Work under tight deadlines. Install new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects. Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools such as saws and pipe threaders. Coordinate with various contractors and trades to resolve conflicts in the field. Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently and cost-effectively, focusing on quality. Support and guide other field installers and helpers. Maintain knowledge of fire industry standards. Adhere to OSHA safety standards. What We Like About You Two to five years of experience in fire sprinkler system installation. Knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps. Experience with underground piping installation is a plus. Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements. Ability to read fire system design drawings. Skilled in using trade tools for pipe fitting safely and efficiently. Ability to train others in trade tools use. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. NICET Level II certification. Backflow inspection and repair certification preferred.
